Which apps does it block?
Whichever ones you pick. Make Me uses Apple's Screen Time framework, so any app on your phone is fair game. They all share the same minute balance.
How are minutes earned?
Pick pushups, squats, or walking during setup. You set the rate yourself — say, ten reps per minute, or 500 steps per minute. The contract is yours to write.
Does it count my pushups for me?
Yes. Camera-based rep counting runs locally — nothing leaves the device. Walking comes from HealthKit step data.
What does the camera see?
Live frames are processed on the device by an on-device pose model that emits a single rep count when a complete pushup or squat is detected. No frames are recorded, stored, or transmitted. The camera turns off when you leave the rep-counting screen. You can also enter reps manually if you'd rather not use the camera.
Why does Make Me need Screen Time access?
Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time framework is the only system-level way an app can shield other apps. Without it, Make Me can't actually block anything — it can only nag. The framework hands us opaque tokens for the apps you select; we never see app names, icons, or your usage history.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — one tap from Apple's subscription settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Make Me never asks for a credit card directly. See subscription terms.
What happens if I run out of minutes mid-scroll?
The apps you've chosen shield with a system screen. From there you earn more, take a short override, or come back later.
Is my data private?
Your balance and history live on your device. No analytics SDK, no behavioral tracking, no IDFA — we don't even ask for App Tracking Transparency. The only off-device data we hold is your subscription state via RevenueCat. See the privacy policy.
Does Make Me show ads?
One optional rewarded ad surface — you can choose to watch a short ad in exchange for a small in-app benefit. The ads are served by Google AdMob and are non-personalized: we don't request App Tracking Transparency, your IDFA stays zero, and AdMob doesn't receive any identifier or behavior signal it can use to track you. There are no other ads anywhere in the app. Details in the privacy policy.
iPad? Android?
iPhone only today. iPad is planned. Android is further out — the shielding behavior depends on a framework Android doesn't have an exact equivalent for.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Because everything lives on your device (and optionally in your private iCloud container), uninstalling Make Me removes it. To also wipe the iCloud copy, sign out of iCloud or remove Make Me under Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
